The platform list above is cross-checked against Electronic Arts' official game page, the Steam store listing for It Takes Two, and IGN's It Takes Two wiki. All three agree on the original launch lineup — Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC — with Hazelight Studios as developer and Electronic Arts as publisher. The Nintendo Switch edition is a later addition (4 November 2022) that was not present at launch.

Which PC store?

On PC the game is sold through Steam and the EA app (the successor to Origin). Both deliver the same game; the difference is only which library and launcher you prefer. A purchase on one PC store does not transfer to the other.

Do platforms talk to each other?

For online co-op, yes — the game supports cross-play, so a console player and a PC player can share a session. Local couch co-op stays on a single device. Full details are on the co-op page.

Always check the live listing

Edition bundles, platform additions, and regional availability change over time. Before you buy, open your platform's current store page for It Takes Two and confirm:

We keep the walkthrough and tool content platform-neutral on purpose: the puzzles, minigame locations, and boss strategies are identical across every version. Use the Completion Tracker to mark progress no matter where you play.

Sources

Platform and release facts are cross-checked across three independent sources — Electronic Arts' official game page, the Steam store listing, and IGN's It Takes Two wiki — and all three agree on the original launch lineup and the 26 March 2021 release date. The Nintendo Switch edition (4 November 2022) is documented by Nintendo and EA. Treat each platform's live store page as the definitive current list, since bundles and regional availability still change.
