Bosses

All 11 Boss Battles

It Takes Two has 11 boss battles spread across five of its seven chapters. Two chapters — Snow Globe and The Attic — skip the traditional boss fight entirely in favor of relaxed puzzles and a musical finale. Below is the full list, grouped by chapter.

Ch.1 — The Shed 2

  • Vacuum Tower Mid-chapter

A possessed vacuum cleaner that sucks up the room. Pin it down and smash its exposed weak panels on the exhale.

  • Toolbox Final · 3 phases

Three-phase finale: clear the locks, dodge its offensive barrage, then detonate the canister to end the chapter.

Ch.2 — The Tree 3

  • Mortar Wasp Mid-chapter

An aerial wasp that bombards the arena; use the sap and match-gun loop to bring it down.

  • Giant Beetle Mid-chapter

A heavy ground beetle; coordinate May and Cody to flip it and strike the soft underside.

  • Wasp Queen Final · 3 phases

Three-phase queen fight that escalates the wasp mechanics across the nest.

Ch.3 — Rose's Room 3

  • Giant Octopus Mid-chapter (Pirates Ahoy)

A pirate-ship octopus encounter; timing and co-op positioning are the whole fight.

  • The Queen Mid-chapter (Chessboard)

A living chessboard boss; you move like pieces and must outmaneuver the queen's attacks.

  • Moon Baboon Final · 4 phases

Four-phase finale baboon fight that shifts the rules each phase.

Ch.4 — Cuckoo Clock 1

  • Clockwork Bull Final

A time-themed bull charge; use cloning and the time mechanics to redirect its ram.

Ch.5 — Snow Globe No boss

This chapter has no traditional boss battle.

Ch.6 — The Garden 2

  • Burrower Mid-chapter

An underground burrower that surfaces to attack; coordinate the water-and-plant loop to expose it.

  • Boss Joy Final · 3 phases

Three-phase finale (Tomato / Potato / Lime). You heal and free it rather than destroy it.

Ch.7 — The Attic No boss

This chapter has no traditional boss battle.

Reading the list

Boss counts are verified against hone.gg and PowerPyx and independently cross-checked (see the chapter walkthroughs). "Phases" means the fight is split into distinct stages — the three-phase and four-phase fights are the ones that tend to trip up first-time players. Track your clears with the Completion Tracker.
